A Miracle At Acupuncture School San Jose

Let me tell you about an event that occurred years before the opening of the Acupuncture School San Jose. November 24, 1987 was supposed to be an ordinary day. The first international conference on acupuncture and moxibustion was unfolding like any other conference with speakers and demonstrations. As the day unfolded, the attendees were treated to an unexpected turn of events; they witnessed what some later called a miracle.

A young and widely unknown doctor was asked to take the stage and demonstrate a new technique he developed on acupuncture. Hardly anyone had ever seen anything quite like this technique and so the patrons watched closely as the young doctor demonstrated. His subjects, two stroke patients, were brought from a local hospital and wheeled onto the stage.

These patients, whom the doctor had never met, had progressed as far as modern medicine could enable them. After nearly a year of rehabilitation, neither could walk and both were totally dependent on others for care.

The young doctor demonstrated his technique on the first patient and to everyone's amazement; the stricken man stood shakily on his own and walked across the room. With one treatment, the doctor and his new technique had achieved what months of rehabilitation and modern medicine could not. Was it a coincidence or had this young doctor preformed a miracle? Had the man been ready to walk on his own? That was the question that was undoubtedly on everyone mind, at least, until he performed the procedure on the second patient, who immediately stood and joined his fellow stroke sufferer on the other side of the room.
